International guest presenter, George Couros, is an innovative educational leader who is passionate about inspiring educators to transform learning. A recent quote from George highlights this:
“I really believe that classrooms need to be learner focused. This is not simply that students are creating but that they are also having opportunities to follow their interests and explore passions. The teacher should embody learning as well.”
In this spotlight session, George will share several elements of what we should be looking for in today’s classroom, knowing that focusing on only a few at a time, can start the move towards a transformational learning environment.
What participants will expect from the workshop:
Participants can expect to build on their knowledge and experience on what today’s classroom looks like. They will also reflect on their own practice and how it provides opportunities for students to make a difference to their learning.
An opportunity for small group conversations is included in the program, enabling participants to discuss the elements that George presents and how they relate to their practice.
Refreshments provided.
