Who or what is CEGSA?
CEGSA stands for the Computers in Education Group of South Australia, Incorporated. We’re here to help teachers from across the state access quality professional development, networking opportunities, support and much more. Why not read our constitution for a more detailed description?
How do I become a member?
We have several different membership rates. Whether your a student, practicing teacher or retired we hope you’ll find our rates reasonable and value for money.
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
There are many reasons why out members join us. Why not take a look at the member benefits page for more information?
Who’s on the Committee?
There are currently 13 of us on the 2011 committee. All our details can be found here.
What research and projects do you support?
Currently, CEGSA supports both Thinkquest and LEGO projects. Last year the very first South Australia LEGO robotics competition was held here in Adelaide thanks to our sponsorship and support.
Do you offer PD?
Of course! Every year we develop a range of courses and are always happy to take suggestions from members for the kinds of training you require. Please feel free to contact us and any time whether you’re looking for a presenter for whole school PD or for us to run a course on a topic of interest. We value your input – it lets us know what you need!
What conferences do you have available?
Every year CEGSA offers an annual conference. You can find details to the past few years here. This years conference will be held in August 2011. Check here for more details.
Can I attend conferences and Pd if I’m not a member?
Yes. But of course we will charge you more. CEGSA members receive a discount for all of the professional development courses they attend. This includes CEGSA conferences.
What is a PLN?
A PLN is a Personal Learing Network. You’ll find some helpful information here if you’re curious.
