Online Access and Archiving of Courses Run:

CEGSA aims to serve the entire state of South Australia.  As such, where ever possible, we run our professional development options both on-line and face to face.  This fairly recent development has meant that we can record these valuable sessions and (with the permission of the presenter) are then able to store the videos on-line for members to access. These videos, along with handouts and notes from the session are found in our PD Archive course on our Moodle Page.  Those who pay to attend courses and are not CEGSA members will have access to these resources for the course they attended for a short period of time.  After that, the content will be for members only.

We try and run courses based upon demand.  If there’s a course that you’d like to see then please let us know and we’ll do our best to facilitate it. Obviously, the primary focus of PD from CEGSA will be the use of Information Technologies for Teaching.  What with the dissolution of the DECS IT Coaches and the introduction of the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority [ACARA] we understand the need for PD based upon tackling issues such as how to ensure ICT is running through all curriculum areas. We will be running subject specific courses over the coming months and, of course, will keep members up to date with events as they unfold.

Every year we hold a conference.  This year we are holding a conference in August.  These conferences always prove to be very valuable professional development opportunities.  It is hoped that as much of the conference as possible will be available online for our country school members so as to give them an opportunity to benefit from the valuable PD from some outstanding keynotes and workshop presenters.

Please see the events pages to find out what PD is running in your area. We look forward to seeing you in attendance! ;)
